We provide practical and pastoral care to all seafarers. Our port chaplains and volunteer ship visitors welcome seafarers, offer welfare services and advice, practical help, care and friendship, according to our guiding principles of Mission, Solidarity, Welfare and Hospitality.

Bamenda

Linking the Diocese of Portsmouth with the Archdiocese of Bamenda Cameroon since 1974. In 1974, a formal twinning link between the two dioceses was formed. It is the practical expression of co-responsibility in the Church.

CAFOD

CAFOD is the official aid agency of the Catholic Church in England and Wales and part of Caritas International.  Across the world we bring hope and compassion to poor communities, standing side by side with them to end poverty and injustice. We work with people of all faiths and none.  Inspired by Scripture and Catholic Social Teaching, and the experiences and hopes of people living in poverty, CAFOD works for a safe, sustainable and peaceful world.

The Catenian Association

The Catenian Association is an international brotherhood of practising Catholic laymen who meet socially, at least once a month, in local branches, known as Circles. Members refer to each other as 'brother'. This reflects the strength of the mutual support they give to each other and their families, which is based on the shared values of their Catholic belief and practice.

FairTrade

Fairtrade is about better prices, decent working conditions, local sustainability, and fair terms of trade for farmers and workers in the developing world. By requiring companies to pay sustainable prices (which must never fall lower than the market price), Fairtrade addresses the injustices of conventional trade, which traditionally discriminates against the poorest, weakest producers. It enables them to improve their position and have more control over their lives.

Union of Catholic Mothers
